Made during the first pandemic year, Contentment Study I began with repeated circular forms associated with completeness, happiness, and containment. As the shapes accumulate, repetition shifts between ornament, meditation, order, and compulsion. Contentment becomes less a fixed state than something tested through sustained attention.
