Full Bloom, High Summer collapses garden, orchard, and kitchen into a single overflowing field. Okanagan fruits, flowers, herbs, and vegetables climb, repeat, and jostle across a violet ground, held together by luminous green-gold lines. The painting borrows the all-over rhythm of printed textiles and ornamental wallpaper but resists the obedience of a perfect repeat: every stem wanders, and every form insists on its own small eccentricity. Made at the season’s most extravagant moment, it treats abundance not as a still life to be arranged, but as an atmosphere—lush, excessive, and already beginning to tip toward change.
